Tokyo House
Yelp.com rated the Tokyo House as the best restaurant in all of Chandler. This Japanese eatery is found on North Alma School Road. The interior is clean and simple. The same man, Fu, always seems to be working the counter and he is always ready to greet customers with a smile and true feeling of warmth. As diners enter, it is immediately obvious that Tokyo House has a loyal and substantial local following. Unlike so many Asian carry out places, the fare at Tokyo House isn't greasy; instead it is perfectly cooked, fresh and seasoned with an expert touch. A few of the standout menu items include the orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, house fried rice, and the house chicken, which is spicy and chocked full of perfectly textured mushrooms.
In-N-Out
It may be a chain, but In-N-Out Burger does not disappoint in Chandler. This is the second best restaurant in the area according to Yelp.com. Head to the In-N-Out on West Chandler Boulevard where food is always served up fresh and fast with friendly service. Customers often state that for a chain that is known for its pleasant service, this particular In-N-Out is even above that. The menu is traditional American burger food with burgers, fries, drinks and shakes gracing the menu. This is an affordable solution for a family, where for less than $15 enough can be ordered to feed two adults and two children. Make sure to order the fries 'animal style', you won't be disappointed and save room for the Neapolitan Shake, it is nothing short of phenomenal.
Patsy Grimaldi's Pizzeria
Patsy Grimaldi's Pizzeria is a Chandler neighborhood standard. This eatery has an upscale, yet casual atmosphere and an incredible outdoor patio that is perfect for alfresco dining when the weather allows. Inside, there is often old jazz piping through the speakers. Patsy Grimaldi's pizza is thin crust and each pie comes out of the coal brick oven piping hot and overflowing with flavor. The crust at this Chandler restaurant is chewy with a little bit of crunch. Even if it isn't your standard pizza topping, opt for the meatball next time you dining at Patsy Grimaldi's. Combine that with some peppers, onions and a sprinkling of garlic powder and you may just have yourself the best pizza in all of Arizona. Another standout creation is the pesto pizza with ricotta and mouthwatering sausage.
Cork Restaurant
Tucked away in the Promenade at Fulton Ranch, Cork Restaurant has quickly become the top romantic restaurant in the East Valley since it opened in 2008. This top-rated Yelp.com eatery has a resume filled with notable accolades including 'Best New Restaurant' by Phoenix Magazine and 'Four Diamond Award' by Triple A. The husband and wife team of Robert and Danielle Morris along with their long time friend, chef Brian Peterson, run Cork. Under Chef Peterson's guidance, the kitchen at this Chandler restaurant puts out modern and elegantly plated fare in a comfortable and contemporary environment. The menu is constantly changing but it has a distinct European influence. One of the best ways to experience Cork is with the four course themed dinner on Sundays, which runs for $35 per person. Recently, this was a barbeque themed meal with a summer corn bisque, house smoked trout and salmon and fingerling potato salad, the choice of barbeque blackened salmon, St. Louis style pulled pork shoulder or char grilled hanger steak and then finally finished with a berry pie with blueberry lavender ice cream.
